When warm, sunny days are upon us, we like to take advantage of the gorgeous outdoor areas available in Raleigh. The JC Raulston Arboretum is a division of NC State University. The gardens are stunning, offering peace, calm and beauty within miles of Downtown Raleigh. This is the perfect place to pack a picnic and explore. Educational and Fun
The Arboretum is a nationally acclaimed garden with a large expanse of landscape, including diverse collections of plants adapted for use in the Southeast. Most of the plant species are labeled too, making for an easy and educational self-guided tour.

The lawns are so spacious and well-maintained that the kids can run freely - all while staying within eyesight.
