Artspace is a cooperative art gallery comprised of individual artist studios located inside a really neat historical building in Downtown Raleigh. At Artspace, enjoy a unique chance to view Raleigh-based artists. You may even have the opportunity to see artists in action inside their studios! Families can take time to browse the hallways, peek into the studio spaces and chatting with the artists when they are around.  On the First Friday of every month, Artspace stays open late and usually has special events, appetizers and wine, making it a must-see for First Friday art walks!  Artspace also offers summer camps, field trips and children's workshops! More information can be found HERE! 

Make it fun for the kids:  Some of the artists enjoy chatting with kids and answering their questions.  Ask questions about the art pieces they are viewing- what colors to they see? What mediums do they think were used?  Play "I Spy" or make up your own scavenger hunt of the exhibits!
